Schlumps Backs
Between 1300 and 1320, the Schlumps Backs site was used as a timber store for the construction of Rahden Castle. The ruins of the castle, a landmark of Rahden, barely reveal its original extent. The farm in Stellingen, now part of Rahden, is mentioned in 1512 and was inhabited from 1648 by the Schlund family, whose name later became Schlump. in the 1990s, the site was leased and renovated by the Heimatfreunde. in 2019, it was upgraded with play and seating areas and a natural stage.
