The museum farm is a fully furnished farmstead and invites you to discover.

The Museumshof Rahden was built here from 1962 to 1966 with the help of the Stadtsparkasse Rahden and the LWL. Its buildings - with the exception of the barn - were all located on different farms in what is now the town of Rahden. The museum farm is a fully furnished farmstead with all equipment and outbuildings, reflecting the way of life in the 19th century. The buildings are furnished in the traditional way and equipped with old household goods. The old farm implements are in place as they were in the past. The Heuerlingshaus 'Lütke Hus' houses a permanent exhibition on linen production and informs about traditional costumes and work clothes. With great care, all the equipment for flax processing has been prepared; because this cottage industry was an important source of income here until the middle of the last century.
By appointment, groups can participate in educational activities such as baking, butter churning, blueprinting, beekeeping, spinning and weaving. Several times a year, on Sundays and holidays, milling and baking days are held on the premises. On these action days, the horse mill is in operation, delicious platen cakes are baked in the old stone oven and there is a colorful program for young and old.
